Trained by Luke Dale Roberts and Heston Blumenthal, it comes as no surprise that Ash Heeger, owner and chef at ASH Restaurant in Cape Town, knows her way around a kitchen. Ash shares what it was like working under culinary legends Luke Dale Roberts and Heston Blumenthal, as well as the joys and challenges of being a creative Woman in the wonderful world of gastronomy.

 

JULY: LUCY MULIMA

Lucy Mulima  is the founder and designer of her fashion label Aya Goods, where she works with African inspired wax prints and traditional handwoven fabrics to create ready-to-wear apparel.

JUNE: TESS GUINERY

Tess Guinery isn’t technically a local, she has spent the last 6 months living in the Mother City. Tess owns and runs her own design studio, which specializes in graphic design, photography, content creation, painting, styling and various other realms of creativity. She is also mama to 3-year-old Peaches Wilde.

Tess speaks to us about balancing motherhood and a creative career.
